Get out and about on this four-hour private tour around Melbourne as we visit some of the spots you won’t see on a city walking tour

There’s plenty to see around Melbourne if you travel a little out of the city centre. Here’s some of what I like to include on this tour.

  • Visit the iconic Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes, one of the state’s most photographed locations

  • See the famous sporting precinct, including Melbourne & Olympic Parks (home of the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis tournament) and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (home of Aussie Rules Football)

  • Visit the bayside suburb of St Kilda, a haven for water sports and renowned for its art deco buildings, famous cake shops and popular pier

  • Take a look at the gold rush architecture of Carlton and visit ‘Little Italy’ to learn about Melbourne’s waves of migration

  • Take a stroll in Fitzroy Gardens and see the World Heritage listed Carton Gardens and Royal Exhibition Building
